Abstract:
The Art of the Trade Study

Systems engineers make decisions constantly. The ability to quickly and efficiently structure and execute a technical trade study is a core systems engineering skill, yet many systems engineers do not apply any formal decision-making processes in seeking solutions to challenging issues. The effective systems engineer systematically builds decisions upon a solid foundation of knowledge of project goals, objectives and relevant information. Those decisions may be made under conditions of tremendous stress and uncertainty, or they may be made in a very rigorous, controlled process with volumes of data.

Biography:

Mark A. Wilson is CEO of Strategy Bridge International, Inc., a company that helps clients to achieve sustained improvements in performance by bridging the gap between strategy development and bottom-line results.
