GPR 7123.1B: System Engineering Requirements Update

Abstract:

The talk will be on the updates made to the GPR 7123 from version .1A to .1B for GSFC to be in compliance with the changes made from NPR 7123 version .1A to .1B.

 

Biography:

Ms. Firman graduated from University of Maryland with a B.S. in Mathematics/Economics and Johns Hopkins University with a M.S. in Electrical Engineering. She has worked with NASA for over 30 years serving on a multitude of projects involving flight and ground software and hardware engineering efforts. Ms. Firman has performed the full lifecycle including formulation, development, test and evaluation as both a discipline engineer and as a system engineer. She joined the Mission System Engineering (MSE) Branch in 2005 and has served as the MSE on numerous projects, in the Mission Design Lab and on system engineering teams at GSFC. She served as the GSFC representative to the Office of Chief Engineer System Engineering Working Group, infused the NPR 7123.1A in GSFC projects and continues to support SE standard development/updates, including the current NPR 7123.1B compliance and implementation effort at GSFC. Cynthia is currently serving as the MSE for the GSFC Space Asset Protection Program.
